Paris Ass Book Fair

Paris Ass Book Fair came about from the desire to give greater prominence to marginal, untimely, discordant sensibilities, desires and aspirations, and to assert a joyful approach to art and publishing, a taste for provocation and the absurd, a desire to stimulate minds and bodies.

Every year since 2017, the fair has brought together dozens of artists, booksellers, publishers and zinesters around a commitment: to highlight print publishing as a medium by itself, a vector of individual and collective expression, a means of making creation accessible to the greatest number. The publications and projects featured adopt formats at the crossroads of many fields: fanzine, artist's book, magazine, clothing, multiple and art object, novel, essay, poster, etc.

In 2022, the Paris Ass Book Fair will be held in the entire building, where more than 80 French and international exhibitors are gathering.

On this occasion, the Fondation presents its publications and relocate its printing workshop to the ground floor of the building in order to showcase its expertise in the production of works in situ. An unpublished collection of poems by Tarek Lakhrissi, laureate of Lafayette Anticipations' Production Support Programe "A l'oeuvre", is produced for the Paris Ass Book Fair.

As a hub of exchange and collaboration, the Fair is accompanied by a programme of meetings and special projects.
