Yuli Serfaty

Born in 1992 in Israël

An artist specialising in new media, Yuli Serfaty explores the political connections between landscapes and territories through worlding. Her semi-realistic worlds, which feed on fictional, lived, and documented narratives, intertwine subjects and environments through immersive devices which combine sound, images, and physical elements. She likens this intertwining of media to that of living beings within an ecosystem. The artist questions the manipulation of nature by those in power and the limits and failures of these strategies of appropriation.

Born in Israel in 1992, Yuli Serfaty graduated from Central Saint Martins (2016) and the Slade School of Fine Arts (2021) in London where she lives and works.
