Lucy Railton

Lucy Railton is a british cellist, performer and co-founder of the London Contemporary Music Festival. Her album Paradise 94, released in 2018, demonstrates the extent of her disturbing musical universe.
Her experimental and electro-acoustic music is inspired by the french Musical Research Group (GRM) created by Pierre Schaeffer in 1958 including Beatriz Ferreyra, Bernard Parmegiani, Iannis Xenakis, Guy Reibel and Francois Bayle. Like her predecessors, Lucy Railton explores and pushes back the limits of normality ever further.
