Inspired by the free and vibrant energy of the disco movement, DESIGN DISCO CLUB celebrates design as a space for emotions, sharing and freedom. DESIGN DISCO CLUB is a manifesto for young creators at a time when our systems are seeking a second breath. Disco provides a conducive setting for rethinking the relationship between industrial and human rhythms.
Bringing together the work of some forty emerging creators, the project explores our relationship with time: the time that conditions our production rhythms, our aesthetic choices and our commitments. Whether industrial, unique or mass-produced, the objects on display bear witness to a current, multifaceted and committed form of creation, staged in a scenography designed by Paf atelier.
Among the artists, thinkers and creators who bring this new kind of club to life are Adrianus Kundert · Alain Gilles - Glass Variations · Bureau, Daniel Zamarbide · Camille Viallet et Théo Leclercq · Dirk van der Kooij · Döppel Studio · Exercice - Glass Variations · Fabien Cappello · François Azambourg · Frederic Pellenq · Garnier Pingree design - Petite Friture · Gaspard Fleury-Dugy · Gobezzia · Groovido · Grégory Lacoua · Haus Otto · Julien Carretero et Ateliers Delacroix · Kwangho Lee - Lambert&Fils · Laurids Galée · Maria Jeglinska-Adamczewska · Odd Matter · Only Only Studio · Marie et Alexandre - Petite Friture · Pierre Charrié · Quentin Vuong · Samy Rio · sashaxsasha · Soft Baroque · Stéven Coëffic · Studio Elementaire · Studio Douze Degrés · Studio GGSV · Studio poirier bailay · Studio Sho Ota · Uchronia · Xavier Brisoux - Glass Variations
For the occasion, DESIGN DISCO CLUB welcomes several exceptional fashion houses and designers, including Marine Serre, Dior, Jean Paul Gaultier, Marie-Ève Lecavalier and Mugler, presenting a selection of iconic pieces.
This exhibition is accompanied by a programme of meetings devised by Christopher Dessus with Isabelle Moisy-Cobti and the Quartus Endowment Fund, focusing on three major themes: architecture, design and fashion.
Here, the ‘club’ becomes an invitation to collectively think about the creation of tomorrow.
