Joint residency with Art Explora

Edition 2025

Residency from 01 Sep 2025

In 81 days

Lafayette Anticipations and the Art Explora Fondation have joined forces to create a joint residency programme designed to support artists in the development and production of their work.

Welcome to Sarah Brahim, the laureate of this first edition. Born in Riyadh, her practice is deeply rooted in experiences of the body, at the crossroads of care, memory and image. During her residency, Sarah Brahim will develop ‘The Pedestrians’, an ongoing project combining film, performance, text and sound. Exploring the body in movement as a space for transformation, she is conducting a research project combining studio sessions, interviews, filmed observations, textual research, archives and photography.

Launched in 2021, the Art Explora Residencies are an ambitious initiative born in Montmartre in partnership with the Cité internationale des arts. They offer artists and researchers from all over the world the opportunity to develop their research and creative work in the heart of Paris, in association with the French artistic scene.
Since 2020, Lafayette Anticipations has welcomed more than 40 artists in residence, who have benefited from unique support and production resources to create their works in the Fondation's workshops.

By combining their expertise, the two Fondations are able to offer artists in residence an enriched environment, combining research, creation and production. Two artists are welcomed each year under this extended scheme.
