Education

Numerous initiatives are carried out with the support and commitment of stakeholders in the education sector and their students. The Fondation has welcomed nearly 5 000 students and teachers since 2021.

Workshop in Residence

Since 2019, the Atelier en Résidence has embodied Lafayette Anticipations' commitment to transmission and co-creation. Each year, an artist is invited to imagine an original project with a middle or high school class, in close collaboration with the National Education Academies, the teachers and the students. This artistic adventure takes place over the course of a school year and results in the collective creation of a work, fed by research workshops, exchanges and meetings at the Fondation.

After Marguerite Humeau with the lycée horticole Jeanne Baret, Boris Charmatz with the lycée Alfred Costes, Cécile B. Evans with the Lycée Suger and Neïl Beloufa with the Lycée Alfred Nobel, we are delighted to welcome Éric Baudelaire as artist-in-residence for 2024-2025 with the Institut National des Jeunes Aveugles (INJA).

Atelier des futurs

L'Atelier des futurs is a programme of excellence in contemporary art for secondary school students. Created in 2023, this two-year project aims to open up the horizons of contemporary creation to students who have limited access to it. Designed in conjunction with the pedagogical teams of four partner establishments (2023/2025), the Atelier des futurs offers a tailor-made programme combining the discovery of artworks, encounters with artists and immersion in the art professions.

This artistic and cultural education programme aims to nurture curiosity, build confidence and promote equal opportunities. Through visits, workshops, group exchanges and explorations, and work placements, the Fondation helps students to develop a sensitive and challenging experience of creation.

Co-constructed with the Versailles and Créteil academies, in partnership with the Lycée Frédéric Mistral in Fresnes, the Collège Joliot Curie in Bagneux, the Lycée Gustave Eiffel in Massy and the Lycée technologique Albert Einstein in Sainte Geneviève des Bois.

Training

Lafayette Anticipations regularly takes part in training courses and organises events and meetings for professionals in the education sector.

For each exhibition, Lafayette Anticipations also offers teachers the opportunity to download a documentation pack (in french) that explores the themes of the exhibition in greater depth, provides a selective bibliography and suggests ideas and activities to help them prepare or extend their visit.
