Diamond Stingily

Diamond Stingily is a performance artist, writer, and visual artist. Through installations and sculptures, her work explores the evocative and commemorative power of everyday objects. Through her memories, the artist explores autobiographical subjects, tackling themes of racial identity, gender, and social class. Her diverse body of works is made up of ordinary objects, underpinned by a muted, nostalgic violence that harks back to childhood.

Born in Chicago in 1990, Diamond Stingily holds a degree in creative writing from Columbia University. In 2013, she published her first book, Love, Diamond, a reprint of the diary she kept the year she turned eight. Diamond Stingily lives and works in New York.
