Antonija Livingstone

Antonija Livingstone is both a dancer and a choreographer, her creations are at the intersection of visual and performance art.

Most often presented in situ in car parks, outdoor spaces or museums, her performances have been programmed in different contexts: Études Hérétiques (with scenographer Nadia Lauro) at the Ménagerie de Verre as part of the Festival d'Automne, Culture Administration & Trembling (with Jennifer Lacey, Stephen Thompson and Dominique Petrin) at the CCN Montpellier and the Biennale des Arts Performatifs de Rouyn Noranda (Quebec), Supernatural (with Simone Aughterlony and Hahn Row) at Théâtre Garonne (Toulouse), Festival Actoral Marseille, and the Leopold Museum (Vienna), Sketches / Notebook (with Meg Stuart / Damaged Goods) at Centre Pompidou.

She worked on the notion of co-creation of refuge during her residency as an associate artist at the Ménagerie de Verre in Paris and at the Darling Foundry in Montreal in 2018 and developed the performance CHAUD in 2020 with the performer and musician Kizis Nibik / Mich Cota. CHAUD was presented as part of Heavy handed we crush the moment with Jamila Johnson Small and keyon gaskin at the Barbican Center in London and Rituals of Care at Martin Gropius Bau in Berlin with dancer Stephen Thompson.
