One of Echard’s starting points for this installation is Austrian psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich’s work and what we named "the orgon".
In the 1930s, Reich – a disciple of Freud’s – imagined a mechanism to store and direct human energies through combinations of resin, metals and crystals. With I Still Dream of Orgonon Mimosa Echard tested and produced her own orgonites. Unleashed in her experimentations, she methodically poured resin over various unexpected elements, favouring a direct relationship with matter and the surprise bought by accidents in the process.
