Lisa Signorini | Exhibition Coming Soon

During her residency at Lafayette Anticipations in 2023, artist and medium Lisa Signorini created a Tarot where she combined two of her own practices: “intuitive” drawing and clairvoyance. Each of the twenty-two cards features a drawing embedded with holographic details. The use of this material is a nod to the vocabulary of childhood and to divination games with playing cards or Pokémon cards. The characters interpret the emotions and states of mind while their diversity echoes the many possible futures.

Lisa Signorini is a multidisciplinary artist.

She studied copper engraving and glass blowing and then moved on to video and drawing. In parallel, she has had a mediumistic practice since childhood. It is quite natural that she turned to divination which she has been practicing professionally for ten years.

Her work has been shown at the Palais de Tokyo (Paris) in the exhibition La morsure des termites, at the FRAC CORSICA and at Standard/Deluxe in Lausanne, Switzerland.

In 2024, she participated in the collective exhibition Coming Soon at Lafayette Anticipations, Paris.

My name is  Lisa and I'm a multidisciplinary artist. I draw, video, make films and write. I'm also a professional clairvoyant.

During my residency in Lafayette Anticipations, I have created my own tarot deck which is the one with which I would have liked to begin my practice as a medium and it's a tarot deck that was channelled to me during the time I was there. The decisions I've taken are in line with that time during my residency. I did all the drawings, which were a bit automatic. They're impulse drawings that I do without thinking and that help transmute the emotions around me because I'm hypersensitive. Basically, I draw with a tarot called Lenormand. This tarot is made up of 36 extremely pragmatic cards and in this tarot, there are always inlaid cards that give a double reading during a session. The symbols that I've implemented and embedded in my cards also serve this purpose, and have common symbols such as the Ying Yang the clover, the heart and the Ouroboros (the snake that bites its own tail), which corresponds to the cycle of life and death. That gives more precision in the interpretation of cards and answers to questions or advice.

On how to explain the practice of a medium, I'm going to take an example that everyone knows, the Tarot de Marseille. It's a tarot a bit too esoteric, not very pragmatic and not very connected to our dimension here. It's going to tell you if you'll have a fortune, a flat or love. But it doesn't say how to seize this opportunity. In fact, you have to realise that there's a lot of futures. In doing that, I've just changed my future. In modern clairvoyance with tarot cards and oracles which are far from the Tarot de Marseille and which are connected to this dimension, that understand that time exists here, that we change our mind all the time, that we are living paradoxes, we give keys to understand how to seize the opportunity presented to us.

So trying not to talk nonsense, it seems that in the present times, and especially in the times coming until 2026, there will be at the same time and paradoxically, a total infatuation for individuation for the common good. So people will increasingly plunge into themselves to give the best of themselves, no longer sacrifice, but self-giving. And above all, something quite notorious, at least until 2030, is a total collapse of patriarchy.
