Thibault Hiss
Born in 1997 in Draguignan, France
Thibault Hiss’s artistic practice combines fables and industrial materials. The symbols of turtles and rabbits, seen since childhood on technological objects, led him to perceive figures and stories in these materials. His “object-sculptures” made up of packaging, shells, and reliquaries, retain portions of emptiness ready to welcome figures, in a constant attempt to alleviate the anxieties associated with uncertainty.
Born in 1997 in Draguignan (France), Thibault Hiss first trained in industrial design at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d’Art before developing a sculptural practice at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, from which he graduated in 2023. He lives and works in Paris.
