Artist of the Collection

Miriam Stoney

Born in 1994 in Scunthorpe, Royaume-Uni

Miriam Stoney’s work, which encompasses writing, translation, visual arts, and performance, invites us to question established boundaries and explore the in-between spaces. Her practice, which draws on literature and is shaped by her training as an architect, is characterised by a profound reflection on language: considered in its constitutive dimension, it is perceived both as a space of containment and formation, but also as an instrument of institution and authorisation.

Born in 1994 in Scunthorpe (United Kingdom), Miriam Stoney studied art history at Oxford University before graduating from the Bartlett School of Architecture in 2019. She lives and works in Vienna (Austria).
