Benoît Piéron

Born in 1983 in Ivry-sur-Seine, France

Afflicted with a long-term illness, Benoît Piéron’s work is deeply influenced by the hospital environment. Inspired by this setting, his practice seeks to give plasticity to illness by distancing itself from the heroic or dramatic representations often associated with it. He designs moments, installations, and objects that explore the sensuality of plants, the limits of the human body, and the temporal nature of waiting rooms, thus transforming the experience of illness into fertile ground for invention and imagination.

Born in 1983 in Ivry-sur-Seine (France), Benoît Piéron graduated from the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris (2007). He lives and works in Paris.
