Laure Prouvost
The work of Laure Prouvost, laureate of the Turner Prize in 2013 and representative of France at the last edition of the Venice Biennale, takes the form of stories where the imagination blends with the visible world not without humour and irony.
Elle étudie à la Central Saint Martins de Londres entre 1999 et 2002, puis au Goldsmiths College. Laure Prouvost, dont l’art combine collages, installations et film expérimentaux, cherche à déstabiliser le rapport entre langage et compréhension en utilisant des histoires familières dans ses films pour engager le spectateur et renverser les attentes en incorporant d’autres récits hors de propos dans ce paysage visuel surréaliste.
