Korakrit Arunanondchai

Born in 1986 at Bangkok (Thaïlande). Lives and works in New York, Bangkok (USA, Thaïlande).
A visual artist, filmmaker and storyteller, Korakrit Arunanondchai uses his versatile practice to tell stories rooted in cultural transplantation and hybridity.

His work merges fiction and poetry and offers synesthetic experiences engaged with a multitude of subjects based primarily on the lives of family, friends and colleagues as well as local myths. 

His major solo institutional exhibitions include MoMA PS1, New York; Palais de Tokyo, Paris; Kiasma, Helsinki; Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing and S.M.A.K, Ghent, among others. He also took part in the group exhibition Au-delà at Lafayette Anticipations (2023). 

His work has been shown at the Venice Biennale, the Whitney Biennale and the Dhaka Art Summit.
