Issy Wood

Born in 1993. Lives and works in Londres (UK).
Issy Wood produces pictorial and literary works, as well as installations, cultivating a universe with a classical style mixed with cynical humor, where the female body is often mistreated.

Graduating from the Royal Academy Schools in London in 2018, Issy Wood draws inspiration from a collection of objects given by her maternal grandmother, as well as auction catalogs, to produce her works.

Wood’s work has recently been presented at the ICA Miami (2022); the Hayward Gallery, London (2021); LACMA (2021); Goldsmiths Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA), London (2019); the Schinkel Pavillon, Berlin (2019); amongst others. In 2023, two solo presentations of Wood's work are taking place at the Ilmin Museum, Seoul and at Lafayette Anticipations, Paris.

Her work has also been featured in group exhibitions at the ICA (Miami, 2022), the Hayward Gallery (London, 2021), LACMA (Los Angeles, 2021), and the Schinkel Pavillon (Berlin, 2019).
