Published to coincide with the exhibition "Surface Horizon" by Marguerite Humeau and Jean-Marie Appriou, this artist’s book, designed by Marguerite Humeau, pays tribute to the theory of signatures and its influence on her imagination.
Inspired by medieval herbariums, it celebrates species that have been rendered invisible by revealing their sculptural quality through plates taken from the National Herbarium, reworked in collaboration with the Atelier Pierre Pierre and Manon Bruet. The book is interspersed with original compositions by the artist, printed using risography.
