Paul Emilieu x NSDOS: Solar Sound System
Saturday 12 Sep 2026 from 3pm to 4pm
Free upon registration
On the occasion of the exhibition Life of Forms, sound artist NSDOS activates the solar soundsystem designed by Paul Emilieu Marchesseau, designer-in-residence at Villa Hegra. A set that extends the work through gesture and sound, between movement captured in real time and immersive sonic matter.
Designed by Paul Emilieu Marchesseau during his residency at Villa Hegra, the solar Sound System was created to accompany mobile workshops between oasis and desert, far from any power grid. Dressed in textile and adorned with chrome studs, it draws its form from AlUla's local craftsmanship.
For this performance, sound artist, musician, and dancer NSDOS takes hold of this nomadic device: gestures, environmental signals, biological rhythms all become raw material for a set built live, captured and transformed into sound.
A collaborative project centered on dance and sound that builds on the work of previous artists invited by Villa Hegra, which organizes residencies and dance classes at the site of AlUla’s first dance studio.
