Ethan Assouline’s practice encompasses sculpture, installation, writing, publishing, and drawing. His work takes a critical look at the contemporary city and the economic, political, and architectural forces that shape it. Childhood is a recurring theme in his research, viewed as a prism through which to examine modern ideology. By appropriating design objects and everyday items, Assouline explores the meanings they convey and what these might reveal about what is usually overlooked.
Born in 1994 in Paris (France), Ethan Assouline graduated from the École nationale supérieure d’arts de Paris-Cergy (ENSAPC) in 2020. He lives and works in Paris.
