Between storytelling and play, Eran Schaerf’s artistic practice unfolds across a variety of media and genres. His works operate by superimposing different modes of production, creating structures where situations, condensed into an abstract symbolic language, offer the viewer an infinite number of associative links. The essence of his approach lies not in isolating images, but in connecting them and gradually sedimenting their multiple layers of meaning.
Born in 1962 in Tel Aviv (Israel), German artist Eran Schaerf graduated from the Berlin Academy of Arts (1987). He lives and works between Berlin and Brussels.
